* Can a user have more than 1 role assigned to them?
    Yes. A user may be assigned any combination of ``admin``, ``researcher`` and ``observer`` roles. Their effective permissions are the union of all assigned roles. For example, a user with both ``researcher`` and ``observer`` roles would have full ``researcher`` permissions.
